Prayer from the heart....

i notice that sometimes when i'm praying, i'm more interested in 'getting to the end' than 'being' with my G-d.  that part of me that likes the mini-rush of accomplishing something -gets in the way of what i'm actually doing.

we've heard a variation on this a million times, expressed with 'it's the journey' or 'enjoy the journey' or 'it's not the destination, but the journey.'  ----the way i've experienced life.... maybe it's both. ;-)

i like meditations because they give my mind something constructive to do.... as hopefully, my heart is busy too ;-) being in communion with the Spirit of G-d.... allowing both my mind and heart to reach deeper levels of the Mystery....
