today is AA's birthday :)  -it started June 10, 1935 when one sober drunk helped another drunk.  i will be forever grateful that those two men passed on what they had, and the countless others who have done the same...

one of the gifts of AA is that it has been able to share spiritual principles in ways that are understandable to the average person.  my hope for "quotes for 4" -these 'quotes with meditations,' is that i can articulate for myself, my children and those who might find value here, spiritual principles that will be helpful in our lives today, with family and others, based on the wisdom of people who are trustworthy.

i'm not sure i trust myself. and i'm very sure you shouldn't trust me! ;-)  --i spent years putting off the possibility of serious spiritual growth because i didn't know who to trust.  i am very grateful i finally know of people that i 'trust' to help me grow spiritually (mainly the people i quote).  so, my advice, is trust them, but not me!

"my" words are simply meant to share some experiences and concrete examples to hopefully make the 'truth' of the quotes more concrete, practical.  i do it mainly for my 4 children; and you who have a desire to grow spiritually.  my sincere goal is to be authentic -to my own self, true.

my hope is that if a particular quote strikes you as meaningful, that you would consider going to the original source... or do a web search... or find a copy of the book... and explore more deeply.
