we need each other.

i have had the most amazing day! i dont usually do this, but i want to share.... :-)

it started with my wife and i having the most heart-wrenching and then, heart-warming talk.  honest.  forgiving. loving.  caring.  patient.  kind.  encouraging.  and giving.

then, i spent time on the phone with two very close friends and had wonderful conversations.

then, 3 friends and i went to Cupertino to see and listen to Julian Carron.  he leads the international catholic movement Communion & Liberation.  he's originally from Madrid, Spain and now, from Italy.  amazing, brilliant, humble, honest man.

then, i got to listen to a professional musician from los angeles play a beautiful piece of music on a magnificent piano....  i met pietro and his wife, from italy, currently studying at Stanford for one year; got to meet fr. carron, some other wonderful people, including nancy, co-founder of the los angeles habilitation house (http://www.lahabilitationhouse.org/).  what an absolutely amazing person.  we spoke for 45 minutes (guessing) and it seemed like 5.  she takes her life -and her life with Christ- very seriously -and she is one of the happiest people i have ever met in my life.  i'm inspired.

i want to take life more seriously.  i want to take my companionship with Christ more seriously.  i want to take all my relationships more seriously -especially my wife, my 4 children, my friends, and the people who join me, however briefly, on this journey....
